Patrice Baldwin is widely acknowledged as one of our leading drama educators. As well as her vast experience in classrooms and running professional development for teachers, she for many years worked as a passionate advocate for Drama in schools. She was Chair of National Drama and led, IDEA, the International Drama Education Association.

Last year, Patrice collaborated with Prospero on the creation of a new smartscript designed to help teachers find ways of embedding Drama strategies across the curriculum. The resulting workshop - now available in the Prospero Library - aims to be of value for anyone looking to find ways of enriching their teaching through creativity. It offers practical strategies, insights into Patrice’s classroom experiences using Drama and routes to using the techniques for remote and home learning.

In this interview, Patrice discusses her career and approaches with Prospero’s Dr Paul Sutton and her experience in using Prospero for the first time.

You can find Patrice’s smartscript in the Prospero Library for a limited time. Stream it to your computer here.
